The ALA has made a submission to the Attorney-General’s Department regarding the establishment of a new federal administrative review body to replace the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
The ALA’s submission details our position on what the purpose, structure, membership, powers and procedures of the new administrative review body should be, in order to facilitate a better, more fair and accessible administrative review experience for applicants.
By invitation as part of this consultation process, ALA National President Genevieve Henderson and ALA members Gabriella Giunta and John Mrsic represented the ALA at an in-person consultation hosted by the Attorney-General’s Department in Sydney on 20 April 2023.
