Independent review of compulsory treatment criteria and alignment of decision-making laws

The ALA has made a submission to the Victorian Government’s independent review of Victoria’s compulsory treatment criteria and the alignment of decision-making laws. The ALA’s submission addresses comparability of compulsory treatment criteria with existing human rights obligations and best practices. We focus on the need to guard against the use of seclusion, restraints and other coercive practises.
